The atmosphere is fantastic. The food is even better! My whole family cleaned their plates. Portions are large! The service was delightful. A wonderful drink menu was available. This is a must stop when you are in Springdale or visiting Zion!

We stopped for lunch on a beautiful afternoon on our way to Zion. The food was great and the server was very helpful and friendly. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains with lots of outdoor seating. I got the mahi taco. Very yummy!

Everything was super good. I noticed our server (Jesus) had nearly every table to himself outside, and I was still impressed with his attentiveness. Nachos are bomb. We also had the southwestern wrap, and some wings. Reasonably priced. Tasty beer and food.

There cook Michelle makes amazing food. Thanks for all the good times

What an outstanding place! The Mahi Mahi fish taco was excellent! Grilled fish and tasty dressed greens. The shrimp taco was equally tasty. Staff was quite pleasant.

Delicious and generous portions! Perfect for dinner after hiking in Zion. We loved the avocado salad with steak and nachos.

Awesome little place! The food is great and the atmosphere is so fun. Their patio is perfect. Great find in a small town. We will be back!

This was our first meal after getting to town and we felt lucky for having picked it blind. Not only was the service kind and effective, the food was delicious and abundant! You can split meals between light eaters and my wife said the stuffed avacado salad was a revelation and maybe the best salad she's ever had. It could feed 3 of her so feel comfortable sharing one. Plenty of varied seating indoors and a heated outside patio for loitering about and enjoying the outside. We will go again for sure, thanks Whiptail Grill!

Great little stop just outside Zion National Park. Beautiful presentation. Friendly service

Eclectic Restaurant with a great atmosphere, beautiful setting. This restaurant is located at the base of Zion National Park. Enjoy covered outdoor seating complete with misters to alleviate the heat. They do have a few tables inside. The menu is mexican food, and it was delicious. Loved the pineapple pulled pork sandwich. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, manager was waiting tables! Place is clean, decor is very inviting. Will definitely go back! Give it a try you!

The customer service here is great. Must try the spaghetti squash enchiladas and the chicken wrap. The chocolate, peanut butter, habanero creme brulee sound bad but has an interesting taste.

The spaghetti squash enchiladas were phenomenal. They have a good selection of beer. The boyfriend loves spicy food and he said the fire style wasn't too spicy. The food was great. I love that they serve greens with the dishes. The dressing was delicious.

The most delicious avocado salad with shrimp that tops all salads. So creatively plated. Really nice service and the best view imaginable. Highly recommend! And another little enjoyable part is is right off the Springdale shuttle coming back from Zion.

Amazing food, super fresh salads, eclectic decor. As you can see from pictures posted, the chile relleno is very popular. It’s a unique play on the dish with goat cheese.

Excellent food and nice friendly staff. Prices reasonable. Will definitely go back.

The stuffed avocado salad was such a good portion and refreshing that it really hit the spot after a long day. The place is a bit small but don't let that put you off the service and food was amazing. Would also recommend the citrus beer they had, came in a can but was crisp and served with an iced glass. Will definitely remember this place for future trips.

Funky little spot built into an old gas station. Had the whiptail burrito (which easily ended up as 2 meals).
David Cannon
Its delicious food. Great service.

Chile relleno and spaghetti squash enchiladas were fabulous! We couldn't help ourselves and got the avocado salad and fish tacos too, which were also really good. Service was excellent... she saw our young kids and made sure we had food and drinks quickly.

Unassuming little restaurant with delicious food and good beer. Service was really friendly. Great place to get a healthy lunch after a hike at Zion National Park.

This is a unique Cafe in an old gas station. We enjoyed the unique menu. Service can be a little slow and there are always people waiting to grab the key for the bathroom. Enjoyable outdoor seating. We enjoyed it and will go back.

Great food. Excellent Service. Great Burgers!

Whiptail was great! The food was excellent- we had the tacos and enchiladas- and the employees were even better. The tacos were overflowing with delicious meat and the enchiladas were eaten so fast I didn’t get to try any! As an added bonus, they play great music. I’d highly recommend trying it out.

3 STARS BUT SHOULD BE AT LEAST 4 (Don't be put off) The food here was great with huge portions. The waiting staff were super friendly and the place is cool and quirky due to it being and old converted gas station unfortunately and coincidentally (apparently a table before us left for some reason but had ordered one of he same dishes which came out for my partner) in the end though my partners dish came out separately from my own and then when they realised i had to wait until she had basically finished her entree before i received mine. I feel like this was a once off as everyone else seemed to be enjoying themselves and from the quality of the food when mine finally arrived and the place in general I would definitely go back.

It was a great restaurant! Great food and service. Recommend steak tacos, wings, I don't think there wasn't anything we tried that wasn't great

Excellent food with an amazing view. Everything we ordered was absolutely tasty. Loved their peanut butter chocolate creme brulee which had a little bit of a bite (spice) to it.

Delicious Mexican food with a twist. My Fire Tacos with chicken were bursting with flavours and delivered just the right amount of heat. It really made me want to try the other dishes. There is also a nice selection of local beers. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is located in an old service station and there is a fair amount of outside seating.

Love the atmosphere and the wait staff were super friendly Food was amazing. Loved the avocado lime vingarette dressing on the avocado salad. Bonus views of Zion National Park from outdoor seating area.
Andrew Carroll
Great place, I went with the burgers which even in a Mexican restaurant were good. It was great how many hours they were open too. Our late arrival in town on a Monday in the off season meant many things were closed.

Great local place. Clean. Friendly. BEAUTIFUL SCENERY. clean fresh food

Favorite spot to eat in Zion. It's changed a little over the years as the park has become more popular, but it's still great overall.

Had lunch after hiking Angel landing. Chose here after reading the good reviews and they didn't dissappoint! We had the pulled pork burger and the whiplash wings. Both were good! Especially loved the fries. Highly recommended!

The menu are kind of limited to taco and burgers. The fries are good. The chickens wings are ok. The prices are not cheap comparing to nearby restaurant. The servers are nice.

Get the chili relleno. This place is a nice little restaurant. Would totally recommend if just trying to find one thing tasty and quick. Salads are tasty and big. Chips and salsa are good. Go eat here with your friends or whomever. Tenderloin is amazing too.
Haridas Attur
Nice lil restaurant. The food was really good. I had the southwest salad . Although, I would suggest the cook to reduce the amount of lettuce in the salad, felt like there was too much . This restaurant has out door and indoor seating . The indoor seating is slightly cooler than the outdoor as they have fans . Very close to the Zion park and the bus stop is right in front of this restaurant.

Good was yummy but the value for my money isn't what I'm used to. The stuffed avocado salad was $15 with added prawns. There was very little "stuffing" so the salad was mostly greens. We also had grilled quesadillas which were big but very light on the protein. They're still cheaper than most other places.

Our server Danny is what sticks out the most from our visit to Whiptail Grill. He was friendly, generous, and quick to provide a couple of activity recommendations for us.The food was great. Sometimes, after hiking for 15+ miles, you just need a ton of good french fries--this place delivered. The burger I had was delicious, and my wife enjoyed her chicken wrap.Great ambience with plentiful outdoor seating.

After a long day of hiking at Zion, this is the place to go!! They have Mexican dishes along with burgers and sandwiches. The fire braised chicken tacos are absolutely delicious 10/10. I will definitely be back!
Becky Wyble
We had a great lunch after leaving Zion! Good service, great food with great friends!
Kathy Senti
Good food and great service. They don't take reservations but we were able to get in within 10 minutes. I loved the chili relleno with goat cheese. My husband loved his pork tacos. We both loved his salad with very fresh greens and avocado dressing.
Pavlo Popovych
To be honest we didn't expect the food to be so good. Hiqhly recommended.
Greg Sun
Didn't eat here. Never came to a place during the COVID era that had a sign that said "TAKEOUT" that refused me take out even as they handed an order to someone else....
Kevin Loftus
We had an amazing lunch here. My friend and I stopped in for lunch, we had enchiladas and the pulled pork sandwich. The portions were huge for a good price, excellent service from Wendy. All around a great little place to grab a quick lunch after exploring the park!
Jeff Stokes
Good food and friendly local service. Renovated Texaco station, so bathroom is outside, need a key. Cool place to checkout.
George Zhang
Food is great. Waiters and waitresses are constantly busy. Great service when they have time and extremely friendly. I think maybe they are understaffed. Lots of tables but are left empty. Not sure if that's done on purpose. Love the mist they use outdoors for the customers. It's cool indoors too. Plenty of parking if you drive.
Gina Miller
Great spot, genuine service, delicious food. Wish they could do more with dishes needing allergy accommodation. Walkable to Zion entrance.
Nasser Salomon
Great food location on your way to the entrance of Zion at Springdale. They have some tables inside but mostly outside sitting with a patio cover. They are very friendly towards vegetarian and vegan eaters. They made me a burrito and allowed me to put plant based proteins. They can add tofu to any salad. Their sauces are really tasty but not spicy. They also have a nice plate of French fries.
